Banovallum School

Learning Support

Banovallum School’s Special Educational Needs Parent Support Meetings are open to all parents, regardless of whether their child has an autism diagnosis. The group provides a listening ear and a safe space to speak about your experiences of special educational needs, with a coffee or tea!

This is what we can do:

  • Share our experiences
  • Share helpful techniques and support methods
  • Celebrate success
  • Meet other parents
  • Discuss issues or current challenges
  • Raise awareness, knowledge and understanding

We believe that these meetings reduce feelings of isolation or and provide an opportunity for outside agencies and professionals to meet with parents to discuss further support. The SENDCO, Mrs Rutter, will be present to answer any queries.
